Remarkable films have come to light shot in southern
Afghanistan in the 1950s. The films were shot over a
period of seven years in the 1950s by an American,
Glenn Foster, and his assistant, Hajji Mehtabuddin.
They catch Afghanistan at a remarkable period of change.
